Why roller derby? Because it's hot girl-on-girl action! Seriously, though, derby girls are beautiful, strong, powerful. They give everything they have for every single practice, every single scrimmage, every single game. The game is hard, the hits are real, the passion is almost tangible. It's just an incredible sport.

What's the origin of your derby name? Homage to Nikki Sixx, bassist for Mötley Crüe.

What quotes inspire you? Two quotes: "But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get it and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!" ~Rocky Balboa. And, "I am. I think. I will." ~Ayn Rand, Anthem. Honestly, I can find inspiration in most things.

Injuries? I'm Fresh Meat, so I've only been a little bruised and blistered at this point.

What wheels do you use? Currently Sure-Grip Zoom, but I have Sure-Grip Fugitives ready to try!

Do you serve on any KDD committees? I do a lot of website updating.

What's your non-derby life like? here are honestly not many moments when I'm not thinking about derby, but... I have a BA in Political Science from Metro State - Denver. I don't want to be a politician, but I wouldn't mind working for one or handling a campaign. I'm a sorority girl... Well, alum now - Go Phi Sigma Sigma! Let's see... I read a lot, I'm learning to play bass guitar, I sing, play too many video games, surf, snowboard, watch too many movies and then quote them randomly, play disc golf, run, lots of outdoor things. Oh, and I write.

Advice for someone interested in derby? Just go for it! Stop thinking about whether or not you should, and just do it!!! Derby is mostly about heart, so give it everything. Be prepared to go hard or go home.
