What do you get when you cross a team of dedicated, hard working, enthusiastic derby girls with the business knowledge of a couple of transplanted skaters? You get the Killamazoo Derby Darlins from Kalamazoo, comprised of women from all over southwest Michigan. Formerly known as the Kalamazoo Kamikazes this team has undergone some exciting changes. Originally created in early 2006 with the ambition and hopes of a handful of women, the Kamikazes played their first bout in the summer of 2007.
These ladies have learned many lessons along the way and now know what they want and have the plan and the dedication to make it happen. The Killamazoo Derby Darlins are working hard to become part of WFTDA(Womens Flat Track Derby Association), stay involved with the surrounding community, and well represent the sisterhood known as women’s roller derby.
