Why roller derby? It’s time for me to start making my own wants & needs a priority and roller derby makes me feel good about myself - I’m more than just a mom, but I’m also ME! That, and it helps release pent-up aggression!

What's the origin of your derby name? I started out with a few bands that I really liked, and I love Alice in Chains. But then as I dug deeper, I realized that on the inside I’ve always been like Alice in Wonderland, dreaming of doing something or being something but never following through. So, I’ve unchained my inner Alice & am letting her loose to kick some derby ass!

What quote inspires you? I have two that really apply to my life, both on & off skates – “A person needs a little madness, or else they never dare cut the rope and be free.” ~Nikos Kazantzakis and “You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.” ~Albert Einstein

Injuries? Nothing but bruises so far!

Do you serve on any KDD committees? Not yet, but I plan to!

What's your non-derby life like? I have 5 children ranging from preschool to high school & they are all involved in lots of activities. I’m also taking some classes, leaning toward either law enforcement or education.

Advice for someone interested in derby? Don’t be nervous, and if you are, suck it up and get out there! You will never achieve your dreams by sitting on the sidelines watching life pass you by, thinking “I could do that” - instead, you should be telling yourself – Prove It!
