Nobody knows where the July 31st road game will be or aren't there any live people here? LOL! Anyway, I'm thinking about just heading to Port Huron and just randomly stopping into any tattoo parlors I come across...they might know! :^)
Okay, I'd love to make the road trip & support the team on an away game, but where is the bout being held? Port huron? Details please! Kill-kill-kill!! ;-)
I was so sorry to hear about the loss of your team mate. I learned about your team and came for a practice do to a suggestion from her husband Casey. I worked at Palisades with him great guy so I'm sure his wife would of been just as great. My condolences to all of you and to her family.
Saw you play in the June 26th game at Kzoo...you are so my Roller Derby hero! Looking forward to seeing you on July 17th with my wife and whatever collection of friends I can drag along! You are so hard-core! Rock on, roller derby angel! ;-)
I love the calander, player card, and jersey ideas...but also agree the margins are thin...especially when this is capital up front for merchandise that might not move beyond us die-hards. ;-) I would love to see an online effort first, that might prove out whether things can be sold profitably or not for the smallest initial investment, and then expand from there. You do realize that you are sitting on the newest thing that's about to explode? In a good way? Roller Derby is poised to enter it's second coming. Everyone I talk to (and talk psychotically non-stop to) is way excited about Roller Derby. This is the next big thing. Everyone is fed up with fake, whimpy "sports"...Roller Derby is the super-cool violent release that America is longing for. Be ready!
You kicked serious tail yesterday. Can't wait to see you on the track again soon. You officially have a major fan calling your name from the stands!
Keep rocking, Sparkills.
Calendars can be tricky. They cost a lot to be printed and so the margin is fairly small. That said, I've got some great ideas for shots for a calendar.
I'd love baseball (or hockey) style jerseys but only if the league doesn't go broke getting them made.
What, you don't like "red ones?" I only understand like two nouns in your entire description, nerd. (See, I'm getting into character as a dimwitted jerk for our big show.)
Dear Bethany,
You were always kind hearted and I know that you are watching over us probably up there surrounded by dogs. When my mom told me that you were playing roller derby I was a bit taken back and I remember thinking quiet little Bethany? And then I saw you sitting there at Money's with your earned black eye and I was proud of you for coming out of that little shell. As I look back at the years I can say that I was lucky to know you and lucky to call you family. We love and miss you.
Cousin Ali
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Others stay a while, leave footprints on our hearts and we are never the same. RIP Bethany aka Fe Box- I did not know you long but knew you long enough to know you're a beautiful person with a wonderful spirit. You will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
There's so much to do in a small league. My ambition is far greater than my ability sometimes.
We need people willing to model the merch for pictures within the photographer's time frame. All for free of course.
I'll make it a priority once we get through the Montreal game.
The Rage is raising funds for our league! You all know we do this whole bit for free...each and every one of us is a volunteer and each time we skate we give a portion of our ticket sales to an organization. Well, our league has a lot of costs: travel expenses, uniforms, practice and skating venue fees, insurance, visiting skater hospitality, etc. The list goes on and on. We are raising some funds to help our league out and we want your help! Join us for....
